Join us on our journey in honoring her legacy and helping raise much needed funds for our chosen charities.
Mandy Lewis, a loving mum, wife, sister, daughter, aunty, friend and one of life’s truest angels suffered a cardiac arrest whilst doing something she loved. As a family, our lives came crashing down and in the days following, sat by her hospital bed we prayed that a miracle would happen but sadly on the 27th of May she left us peacefully, surrounded by her family.
We were told that her sudden death was unexplained, despite her being fit and healthy with no signs or symptoms and no findings from the post mortem. We were informed that Mandy passed away from SADS (Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome) something that affects approximately 500 people each year in the UK alone.
We are planning multiple extreme challenges
including, parachute jumps, high wire walks,
Kilimanjaro and even climbing to the base camp of
Everest, to raise money for the amazing British
Heart Foundation for further research into SADS.
We will also be donating some of the funds raised to
the Down’s Syndrome Association - a charity that is
close to our hearts and one which Mandy passionately
supported each and every year, to ensure children
born with Down’s Syndrome can live a fulfilled life
without obstacles. She dedicated much of her time to
her gorgeous son Harry, who is a wonderful example
of how someone living with Down’s Syndrome can live
a truly amazing life.
